Kenworth T680 Mirrors

We keep things simple at Tacoma Parts Corporation. One warehouse near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, one phone line staffed by people who actually know what a hood mirror bracket looks like, and one rule: if you order before the cutoff on a weekday, your part is on a carrier within 24 hours.

We don't run a dealership, we don't run a repair bay, and we don't sell parts for anything lighter than a Class 8 tractor. Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Volvo, International, Mack, Hino, and Western Star, that's the list. Owner-operators like us because the checkout takes two minutes. Fleets like us because we'll quote a pallet as readily as a single box. Body shops like us because the part that shows up matches the part in the photo, and when it doesn't, we make it right.

This collection is where you'll find Kenworth t680 hood mirrors alongside full door mirror assemblies and the cover shells that go over both. Read on for how we've organized it and why the choices matter.

Kenworth T680 Mirrors

Mirrors for the Kenworth T680: hood, door, and covers

The T680 uses two separate mirror systems, and drivers mix them up on the phone all the time, so let's sort it out. The hood-mounted units are the smaller convex mirrors on stalks out front. They're your view of the front wheel, the curb, and whatever's sitting low beside the bumper in a truck stop lot. The door-mounted units are the big West Coast-style assemblies on the A-pillar with the flat glass up top and the convex spotter below. Those are your lane-change and backing mirrors, and a cracked one is a DOT out-of-service item.

Then there are covers, which are the most misunderstood pieces on this page. A Kenworth t680 mirror cover is the outer shell that wraps around the housing, and it's what takes the damage when a branch, a trailer door, or another truck's mirror catches yours. The glass, motor, and heater underneath are often perfectly fine, and replacing the whole assembly over a scuffed shell is throwing money away. Swap the shell and the mirror looks new again for a small fraction of the price of a full assembly.

Here's how our listings are broken down:

  • Hood-mounted units sold individually for the left or right side, and as matched pairs
  • Full door mirror assemblies in chrome or black, single side or set
  • Door mirror shells in chrome or black, for drivers who want to fix cosmetic damage without touching the internals
  • Chrome shells for the hood-mounted mirrors, again as singles or a pair

Everything here is built for the 2013 through 2021 T680 body. Several of the door mirror pieces also fit the T880 from those same years, since Kenworth shared the cab between the two. If you're driving a Next Gen cab, the mirror layout changed and these won't be the right fit, so give us a call before ordering.

Chrome or black, and when to buy one aide only

Kenworth shipped the T680 in both finishes depending on trim and what the original buyer specced. Chrome looks sharp on a polished show truck and holds up well if you keep it clean. Black powder coat hides road grime, doesn't show pitting, and matches the blacked-out look a lot of fleets have moved toward. We carry both, and the shape is identical, so you can switch finishes if you're tired of the one you have. Some drivers even run chrome on the door and black on the hood, which looks better than it sounds.
As for the choice between buying a single mirror and a pair, our opinion is this, if the Kenworth t680 driver side mirror is damaged but the passenger-side mirror is fine, buy only one mirror. Mirrors don't wear evenly like brake pads, and there's no reason to spend double. But if both units are original to a truck with 600,000 miles on it and the chrome is peeling on one, it's probably peeling on the other too, and a matched set will look better than a new-and-old combination.

What ships with your order, and what you can expect from us:

  • Tracking number the moment the box leaves our building
  • Secure SSL checkout, with the option to call in an order if you'd rather talk to someone
  • A pair of wiper blades and a reflective vest tucked in with most mirror orders
  • Support by phone Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 Pacific, before and after the sale

A hood mirror for Kenworth t680 trucks is a part drivers tend to put off replacing because the truck still passes inspection without it. But that little convex mirror is how you see the fuel island pump before you swing into it, and how you spot the four-wheeler tucked beside your steer tire at a red light. Ours are built to the same mounting pattern and stalk angle as the original, so the view is the same, not a guess.

We'll say what we always say. We're a parts store. We don't remove mirrors, we don't wire heated glass, and we won't pretend to walk you through it. If you want to know which side, which years, and which finish, ask away, and you'll get a straight answer from someone who has shipped hundreds of these.

The case for going with Kenworth t680 mirrors aftermarket instead of the dealer counter comes down to two things. Price, obviously, since a full door assembly from a dealer can cost more than a set of tires. And speed, since we stock these Kenworth t680 semi truck parts in SeaTac and ship the same day, while a dealer order often means a week or more of waiting with duct tape holding the old one together.

Fleet managers, a Kenworth t680 mirror replacement is one of the cheapest ways to keep a truck legal and a driver comfortable. Keeping a couple of door shells and a spare t680 hood mirror on the shelf means a scraped truck goes back out the same afternoon instead of sitting until a part arrives. Send us your unit count and we'll build a quote.

If you need one Kenworth t680 hood mirror for the passenger side or a full set of door assemblies for a truck that just came back from a tight dock, it's all above. Pick your side, pick your finish, and check out at tacoma-truckparts.com . We'll have it moving by tomorrow.
