Aftermarket Kenworth T660 bumpers and corner sections
The front bumper on a Kenworth T660 is more than a styling piece. It carries the fog lights, shields the lower front from road debris and shapes the first impression a customer gets when your tractor pulls up. A cracked corner or peeling chrome hurts both the look and the resale value of the whole unit, and a new front end brings both back. We carry this bumper as a complete assembly and in sections, so you can restore the front end piece by piece or all at once.
How the front end is put together
On most T660 trucks the factory bumper is sectional. Left and right sections, which the trade calls corners or ends, carry the fog light openings and bezels. They hang on frame brackets, and a plastic lower spoiler (also called the lower lip) runs underneath. A one-piece aftermarket bumper replaces that layout with a single 14-inch chrome assembly.
That gives you two ways to fix the front end. A complete Kenworth T660 bumper gives you one clean line across the front, while the corners and the lower spoiler can be bought separately when only one area is damaged. Our 14-inch bumpers fit trucks built in 2008 and later, and the corner sections cover 2007-up models. For cross-reference, the bumper matches OE numbers P1745 and 7467, and the corner sections match N71-1162-611.
When a full replacement makes sense
Replace the entire bumper in three cases: the damage runs across the center section, the chrome is peeling along its full length, or the mounting brackets have been pushed back and the bumper no longer sits level. Fixing one side won’t solve any of these.
A new Kenworth T660 chrome bumper restores the factory bumper height and a straight line across the front. Depending on the version, it comes with the lower spoiler pre-installed and its own mounting brackets, so you don’t have to source extra hardware. Our bumpers also ship with a bonus kit: a Kenworth emblem, two 22-inch wiper blades, a license plate frame and a reflective vest.
Chrome-plated steel suits a highway tractor. It handles gravel better than plastic and can often be straightened after a minor hit. Its weak spot is the plating: once it chips, road salt gets underneath. Rinse the front after winter runs and seal chips early, and the shine will last for years. Before a truck goes up for sale, a new chrome bumper is one of the most cost-effective ways to boost its resale value.
Fixing one side: T660 bumper corners and fog lights
Corners stick out past the main line, so they take most low-speed hits at docks and truck stops. If the other side is straight and the brackets are intact, there is no reason to pay for more than the damaged piece. Kenworth T660 bumper ends come as a driver side, passenger side or matched pair, in chrome or black plastic.
The version with bezels and fog lights already installed is the fastest repair. The corner goes on as a finished unit, and the lights match side to side. Chrome keeps the classic look, while black suits a blacked-out front end and never needs polish.
The replacement Kenworth T660 bumper spoiler is made of lightweight plastic. Not every spoiler fits every bumper: one version is shaped for the 14-inch chrome bumper used on 2008 and newer trucks, so check which bumper you have before ordering.
Dealer part or aftermarket?
A dealer part carries the Kenworth logo and a dealer price. A well-made Kenworth T660 aftermarket parts uses the same mounting points and cross-references the same OE numbers. What matters isn’t the logo on the box, it’s the details: the quality of the steel and the chrome, whether brackets are included, and whether the fog light cutouts match your fog lights. We inspect every bumper before it leaves our warehouse.
Getting the order right the first time
Most fitment problems start with a guess. Before you order, have these four things ready:
- the build year from the driver’s door label;
- whether the truck has fog lights and where they sit;
- the OE number printed on the back of the old part;
- a photo of the whole front end.
Each listing on tacoma-truckparts.com shows the fitment years and OE numbers. If something still doesn’t match, call us at (206) 235-2411, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific.
Fleets often run several T660s with slightly different front ends, and body shops often have several in for repair at once. Send us the list of trucks at office@tacoma-truckparts.com and we’ll sort it by build year and fog light setup so each truck gets the right parts. Many fleet managers also keep a spare pair of corners and a lower spoiler on hand. These are the parts that wear out first, and a spare on the shelf keeps the truck working instead of waiting on a shipment.
Delivery and receiving
Orders placed on a business day are handed to the carrier within 24 hours, and anything in before 2 p.m. Pacific usually leaves the same day. Bumpers travel by freight, so the carrier needs a commercial address and a phone number someone answers. If you are near Seattle, you can skip shipping and pick up at our SeaTac warehouse.
When the freight arrives, open the box before you sign. If the packaging or the part is damaged, note it on the delivery receipt. That note makes the claim simple and keeps the return free for you. Unused parts in the original packaging can be returned within 30 days.
Quick answers
Will a T680 bumper fit a T660?
No. The T680 has a different hood, grille and mounting layout, so front-end parts do not swap between the two models.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, with a second person and standard sockets. A full bumper takes a few hours because of the brackets, while a corner or the lower spoiler goes on faster.
Do I need new brackets?
Only if the old ones are bent. After a hard hit, a bumper that ships with brackets is the safer choice.
